I know it has been a minute. Thursday I had surgery to remove a dermoid cyst and an ovary, ended up just taking the cyst. They said the ovary looked fine. I went home the same day. I've been sore a few days and with certain movements, but I'll be back to work on Thursday. I missed you guys. I have to get my head back wrapped around school. I'm taking one summer class that I'm enjoying, but it's work of course. Any way I'm hoping to go to the beach. I just want to surround myself with the sights, sounds, and the smells of being at the beach. We use to always go to Rehoboth beach when I grew up. I remember loving every minute of it. I think it's so important to find the little things and enjoy the heck outta them. Whether it's the calming scent of lavender burning from your favorite candle, the sound of rustling of fall leaves as you walk to wheel across them or the smell of freshly baked bread from your oven or when you walk into a restaurant. That's what I'm focused on right now, really being in tuned to the little things.
I think gratitude is super important as well. My cyst surgery went well and I am so so grateful to the doctors and nurses that helped make it so. I haven't been the most prayerful person over that past 20 years but I'm trying to be thankful to God.
I'm still not on dialysis but if it comes my way I will try my best to keep a positive attitude and to enjoy and speak praise for the little things.

So sorry you had to have surgery, but so glad it turned out well!
Yes, attitude is everything! I will always remember when I went for my transplant some 23 years ago, the nurse told me that I would do well. I had the right attitude! Said if you think things will turn out bad, they will.
Take care of yourself! Enjoy the beach and keep us posted!
Hey Queen!!! Glad to hear you are recovering well from surgery! Glad you are not in need of dialysis yet. Positive outlook correlates to so many things in life, not the least of which is health. Keep shining!!!🌞🌞🌞
Congrats on a successful surgery and good recovery. Hope you can get to the beach soon. Being near the water has always done it for me. Love everything about it. Enjoy
