Hi all, my brother has been found to have thromobotic microangiopathy (on kidney biopsy) secondary to APS and likely complement dysregulation. He is on dialysis and plasma exchange. Doctors are saying the kidney injury is reversible but will take time. Anyone can throw some light on what to expect as I'm extremely worried for my brother.

My husband has ANCA vasculitis which caused acute kidney failure. He almost died. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks. He needed emergency dialysis, was on a ventilator and needed a chest tube. He had plasma exchange and dialysis and ritixan infusions. They told him it might be reversible. His kidney function is 60% and won't get any better. He's been off dialysis for 2 months and is doing well. It's very scary. There's always hope. Good luck to him.
