hi,I have read a lot of posts about people struggling with food and medication, I have been struggling with food because I also have osteoporosis, I am still using alpro unsweetened soya milk and yoghurt, which might be harming my proteinuria because of bubbles in the toilet bowl when I pee, any help please.

I take limited amount of yogurt and also drink soy milk in limited amount. I adhere to a CKD diet.

it's all confusing to me regarding a diet for proteinuria. I have also got osteoporosis so that's even more confusing what's good for 1 is not good for the other

Have you tried oat milk or almond? I read soy is not recommended but it depends on the books you read.

See a dietician and check with your doctor to see is calcium is allowed. Injection Prolia for osteoporosis is a great drug. But you need an order and I’d certainly take it if allowed. Best widhes

Thanks, I need calcium for my osteoporosis, I will be going on prolia because it stated zoledronic acid infusion which I already had 2 and then prolia for osteosarcopenia ,with me not having any testosterone because it hasn't recovered since finishing treatment for locally advanced prostate cancer t3b no mo in 2016,I am only 8st it's hard.

hi,after reading about prolia is that it weakens your immune system and you are open to more infections and have to take a calcium supplement which is not good for your arteries,I just hope it helps the kidneys.

There is a functional medicine doctor Kevin Ellis called the Bone doctor. He sounds pretty good. He’s on the internet . I only listened to one podcast . Might be something you should listen to and see if he can offer adjacent insight. I am medical but this is not my specialty. Sounds like they are working with you on the right meds. Since you’ve had prostate cancer and I’m sure chemo , your nutrition is really important

I myself like functional medicine because I feel they treat the whole patient and not just parts ..
