Stage 4 for 7 years GFR 24. Starting to feel kidney pain Not considering dialysis. How do I compare to others?Bun 30 creatine 2.71

HI Michael, So sorry for your loss with your wife. We are here for you, and you are not alone. With a GFR of 24, you have a good chance of keeping it for a while at that level with changes in your diet. We can make some recommendations, but you would do well to see a renal dietician. I know you have fought cancer and so it might be best to see what your nephrologist recommends. Do not try to compare yourself to others. Each one of us has a different journey and different paths. We will support you on whatever journey you want to take.

Maven, looks good, stage 4 26 years Bun 31 creatinine 3.68, eGFR 17-28 depending on the day of the week and the direction of the prevailing winds…lol.

Edit 09/30/22: I just read your post about your spouse sir. I didn’t know that had happened and wish you my best condolences on your loss and I will keep you and family in my prayers. Just wanted to express my best wishes.
