Stop burps and gas

Does anyone have a remedy without antacids for excess burping and gas? I never had this problem until I started Revela for phosphorus control.

Hello Tissybell! Hope you don’t mind, but I took the liberty of looking up Renvela on drugs.com. I’ve carried the link over here below in case you want to look it over. It does have some pretty undesirable side effects to it. I’m not sure if these effects will subside once your system gets adjusted to it or not, but if it persists, I would suggest you speak to your PCP or your nephrologist to switch you to something a little friendlier.

As for remedies for gas and bloating, I wonder about such over-the-counter options like Gas-X, or something along that route. That might help to relieve most of the trouble. Once again, speak to your doctor about it. Perhaps she / he could steer you in the right direction with that. Other than that, I truly don’t know what could help with belching and gas, especially if it’s being caused by medication.

Thanks for that info and your kind words. I will review the link for side effects again, and ask my doctor about switching meds, if that is the culprit.

I tried switching to Tums, but that did not help. I tested negative for h.pylori, and my doctors are out of ideas.
