Hi Anands,

High creatinine is one symptom of chronic kidney disease. Have you been diagnosed with CKD and if so what stage?

There is a lot of information out there on diet. The best solution is to see a renal dietician who will develop a diet just for you and your needs.

There is no pill.....

Here are some websites to help you:

I take an herb called Chitosan. I increased my dosage and my creatinine has gone down on my last 2 labs

It’s a tablet you can order online. My brand is LifeTIME 1000 mg. I take 4 a day. You can order online at Walmart

Be careful with supplements.... this one has an interaction with warfarin and if you are allergic to shellfish. It also is a sugar and not sure what that would do if you are diabetic. You should always check with you doctor.

The website was interesting because it did say it MIGHT support kidney health. I am wondering if anyone else has used this product?

I’ve done some reading about it and it seems to be commonly used among some of the kidney support groups and Chinese medicine.

I am in stage 4 of CKD and at one point my creatinin was 5.1 . I saw a kidney dietitian and cut out my high Potassium foods and Phosphates. Three months later my creatinin was down to 3.7. Since then it has creaped up to 4.1 and I am trying hard with my diet and drinking the amount of water my doctor told me to drink. So diet and proper water made a difference in my creatinin.
