Start of my weight loss journey

Hi guys,

I am new here and I need some support.

My partner is going through a divorce from a narcissist and she continuously criticising my looks and my body.

I knew I was a bit over weight but it didn’t catch up with me that 76kg is considered “fat” now days.

I decided to make a point and get to back to my size 10 clothes. Not for her. But for myself.

Any support would be appreciated 💕💕💕💕

Hi jhajni and welcome :)

Maybe your partner will stop being quite so critical once the stress of the divorce is out of the way.

76kg may be overweight for some and not for others. It depends much on how tall you are. If you haven't already, run the NHS BMI calculator to get an idea... nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-we...

Wishing you the best of luck and hoping to see you around more :)

Hello, jhajni, and welcome to the forum 😊

If you've never been a dieter, that will work in your favour so don't start now. I recommend choosing fresh food, home cooked, avoiding processed stuff and that includes anything labeled low fat or light or diet - all heavily processed.

This is a busy place with loads of support and information to help you on your way and we've put everything you need into this Welcome Newbies post. healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... I recommend joining a weekly weigh in and using the Daily Diary.

Please also read this information about security/privacy, especially as you have left your post unlocked healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

To make the most of the forum, join in with activities, read and reply to posts, ask questions and encourage others – it will all pay off for you 😊

Hi, jhajni, welcome.

I am "fit" and slimish at 94kg and 15% bodyfat!

Many of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
