Reached a personal goal

hello all since coming on here and seeing all you lovely people doing so well it’s really motivated me so I set my self a goal to to 10:000 steps and was only achieving 7000 but today after two seperate walks I’ve done 12000 so thank you all i don’t think I would have achieved this goal without you 😀

It was you that took all them steps ! Did you do the hiit again or I can imagine the steps were probably enough for one day , well done again, you did good

Hi thanks yes walked in morn came home then went out again no didn’t do hiit today as well how you getting on ? 😀

Ive been at work today so havent done any exercise unless standing behind a reception desk for six hours count ? Didnt think so lol but had homemade cauliflower and brocolli soup for tea to make up for it, bet youve stiffened up now ? Nice hot bath ?

Oh dear poor you that is definatly exercise enough and yes feeling a little stiff but hey what do I expect total shock to my system 🤪 and yum that sounds nice soup I had tuna salad with pitta and yes a bath would be good if I had one just got shower 😀 hope your putting your feet up after all that wrk 😀

Tuna salad sounds nice, could have just eaten that after my soup ! Lol yeah just been sat on the sofa all night, bet you have too? Eeey well done again you ! Big pat on the back !

Yes I like the sun it did appear briefly today but still freezing out I was watching film with Adam Sadler was quite good anyway have a good eve I better go and wash up settee lounging over ha ha

And it's only 2.30!! So a massive well done you, be very proud of yourself, you surpassed your goal of 10.000!!!

It will get easier the more you do it and it will motivate you to eat healthier too, keep up the good work xx

That's Great - do you feel physically and/or psychologically better for it?

Are you hoping/expecting to walk 10,000 steps how often?

I am 69, and I was disabled for a few years, and then, within a couple of months, I walked 10,000 steps a day (50km a week) for two weeks - but it was too much, and I got tired.

I now use the HRV4Training app - and walk 20 or 30km/week.

Hi yes I do feel better and know that I can do it I do feel a bit stiff tonight but I’m sure it’s all a big shock to my couch potatoe body but at the same time feeling energised sorry to here you was disabled it’s great that you then went on to walking I don’t know whatHRV4T is but I agree I will take things slow and gradually build up thanks for advise 😀

HRV4Training is an app that works with my Apple Watch4 and my iPhone.

Big well done Crochethooked. I have a fit bit and like you struggled to get more than 7000 but I've upped my game since being on here too. It's great isn't it.

Glad to here that the cold weather hasn't stopped you. If lm dragging my feet I'll think of you🤗Well done, keep it up

Ha well done robinredbreast1 it certainly makes a diffence being on here ! I only managed just over 5000 today but think I was a bit stiff from yesterday lol keep going and you spur me on I’ll spur you ! Not sure how many steps over the weekend but next week definatly another target 😁
