I am almost 61 , 5ft 1 inches tall and at my best weigh 62kg . I can't shed anymore weight and I feel my body is comfortable with this but I am still classed as obese. I walk , do Zumba via You Tube and have just ordered a push bike . I have a fairly manual job I do around 18 hours a week . I make an effort to not snack and eat plenty of veg including salad and a couple of pieces of fruit per day.
At the moment I have problem with my lower legs as I can't walk more than 500 yards outside without pain but I am breathing through this and can slowly do about 3 miles with stops but the actual weigh issue has been going on for a few years . My body is stuck at 62kg unless I either crash dieted or suppose went crazy with exercise which I don't want to do . My sleep is improving especially as it is winter . I am a bit perplexed with this.

Like you I have mobility issues but you are much more active than me. I decided to maintain when I reached a weight I was comfortable with , nowhere near anything like healthy BMI. I’ve been maintaining that weight give or take a few pounds for 4 years now and have never regretted that decision. Good luck with whatever you decide to do,😊
Are you sure you are classed ‘obese’ rather than overweight? BMI has major limitations as it takes into consideration only height and weight, not the body composition, frame or bone density. Muscle is heavy, for example. A lot of athletes would fall into overweight or even obese category. It’s important how you feel and how healthy you are. Crash dieting or exercising crazily is never the answer. 62 kg might be just perfect for you 😊
I suppose I am very weight conscious as I did competitive gymnastics as a child and kept my weight at around 45-47kg so 62kg does seem as lot in the same body but after 5 children and 45 years on I know I can't be the same .
The numbers are always so relative... but still my attention was strongly drawn towards your sentences ‘I feel my body is comfortable with this’ and ‘my sleep is improving’. I think those are of the most importance 🤗
I just put your stats through the NHS BMI calculator, I was curious as you weight slightly less and are a little taller than me, and I am in the overweight category, not obese.Your BMI comes out as 25.8, which is at the lower end of the overweight category, not obese at all, obesity starts at BMI 30.
Hope that might make you feel a bit more comfortable about the weight you seem to have settled at 🙂
