2018 healthy start

Well here I go again .... new year determined to lose weight but this time I don’t want to spend weeks putting money into a slimming club membership!

I’m realistic in my goals and just want to eat a healthy balanced diet, increase my exercise and improve my general fitness whilst enjoying my life as a 56 year old wife, mother and grandmother and part time nhs administration worker (which all adds up to a pretty busy life!)

Welcome Dlittle1961 Your synopsis sounds like an advert for this forum :)

The focus here is on living healthily and eating sensibly and hopefully, as eating is a big part of our lives enjoyably.

Like you say, you have a pretty busy life but that shouldn't be a barrier to weight loss and hopefully will be a plus in staying active.

Welcome Dlittle. I know what you mean about the slimming clubs. My last one was truly dreadful. In the end you are paying for someone to weigh you. Lovely people on here.

I’ve yo yo dieted for over 20 years and spent a fortune at Slimming World and Weight Watchers. I’m hoping I can do this with the support online here!
