My 3rd attempt

Hi, not my first time here. Like many people I can't remember a time when I haven't been worried about my weight. BUT now I have changed my thinking, now it's all about health and weight loss is a byproduct of that. I have read a few comments out there and to all of us, you are doing amazingly. Can I just say can we all be a bit kinder to ourselves? First we have to like the body we have if we want to change it. So this is the end of my second week. I'm not on a strict programme, I have set myself small challenges, so week 1. Breakfast at home, no mid morning brioche, keep doing 10,500 steps 5 times a week, record my food. Week 2, make sure I have 5 veg and fruit a day. I haven't been super successful on this, so this week, really focus on eating more fruit and veg. Don't get me wrong I have 5 stone to lose but it took me 6 years to get to that and even weighting a stone less by the end of this year will be a triumph!

Morning Snowby

Welcome to the weigh loss forum.

I know you have been on the forum before but there as been a few changes since you was last here so I wanted to update you.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

Have a look at the Daily Diary which you can find on the Home page in Events. It is where all the members are sharing their daily plans on what they are eating and any exercise they are doing. This thread will give you some ideas on how to start.

Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.

We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us today. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.

To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.

Have a good first week.

I love your comment about "Can I just say can we all be a bit kinder to ourselves? First we have to like the body we have if we want to change it." That is so true..... I have hated my boby since I was 12years old. Am now realising is that I can not change my bone structure or posture but I can change my fat into muscle. I have to except I will have saggy skin and strech marks. But thats my life scares...I.e pregnancy, weigh going up and down...

P.s thank you for your post..

Thanks for the comment. I too have stretch marks and will be saggy but like you say, evidence of the battles and joys we have achieved and the whole point of this is to be both healthy and comfortable with ourselves.
