  • Hi Rubyrami

It is so hard I know as I am going through the same thing. Do you walk? That's how I get my exercise in. I use my fitbit and try to aim for 8000 steps a day. I have been off work for 3 weeks now and have put on more weight. I am here to help and support you. Please message me whenever you like. I am on 1400 calories a day. What are you doing? Good luck. There seems to be a lot of support on here too.

  • Caroline, oh thank you ! I just stumbled on this app and I decided today not to go on my own ! You right we need support !

  • I need to start walking even for 20 mins or probably get Fitbit !

  • Hi, Fitbit are great. I just got an upgrade to the Alta HR and it send a subtle vibration at ten to each hour of you haven't moved! One tip for walking if it is raining or dark is to use the walking / aerobics videos on YouTube. Free and fun! Good luck to you 🤞

  • Sounds great Ella & Caroline !

  • It does help.

  • Hi RubyRami you have made a great start by posting. You have mentioned what you can't do but is there any activity that you can do? Can you walk or cycle? In some gyms there are toning tables which can help if you can't exercise.

It is not all about exercise. When I lost two stone a few years ago; I didn't exercise until I had lost 1 1/2 stone as I

felt too awkward to go to a class or the gym. You may have limits on exercise but you can decide what to eat. I made small changes initially - skimmed milk, whole grain instead of white and built up. Every little step counts. I look forward to hearing how you are doing.

  • Wakywoo thank you !

  • I will start walking but can't cycle :(

  • It's a start. X
