This is a before and after shot of the back garden in February this year and this afternoon, still a long way to go but we are seeing the results of our hard work :-)

It s like the before and after shots for one of those make over programmes on the telly. You must have worked for hours. Enjoy the sunshine and reaping the rewards for your labours. Xx

Looks great - I expect all the neighbours will want to hire you to do theirs now. It is certainly a good way to burn off some calories, if your back is up to it after all that digging...

Wow, what a transformation, you have obviously worked really hard! All the wet weather has been against you too, which makes it even more impressive. Somewhere lovely for you to relax after your walks now 😊

That's a great job, you don't live near Stratford upon Avon do you, ours could do with a bit of TLC. Well done, the transformation is brilliant 👏

Fantastic....mine was similar and the pleasure you get from seeing it improve is enormous. I am very, very tired after a session in the garden, not being very fit and carrying a little extra weight but is worth it for the results. I do think of all the calories I am burning as an extra bonus.

That took a LOT of hard work but what a lovely result. It looks quite private too , so I hope you can look forward to many quiet, sunny days out there.

Thank you Ellie. Thing is we decided to have four trees cut down last week, they were really much too big for the garden, and it now resembles a post nuclear wasteland :-( Lots to do but everything has to go on hold until I have recovered from my hernia operation so we are planning to have a transformed garden, again, next summer :-) Have a good week - John

Hope you're soon fully recovered but don't overdo it!!

I empathise with the tree felling. We had 4 huge, old sycamores , way taller than the house, that sadly had to come down. After waiting ages for planning permission ( a conservation area ) and we'd recovered from the shock of the quotes ( 3 men 2 days), we eventually went ahead...it felt so exposed and bare at first but now other shrubs that were previously surpressed are flourishing, and this is the first year we don't have loads of daily leaves to sweep up!
