Hello Everyone. I signed up for the My Weight Matters 12 week course. Today was my 10th week. So far I've lost 1stone 3 pounds. Ive never dieted in my life but with my 50th birthday looming I decided to shift my butt and do something about my steadily increasing weight. I'm a full time carer for my Mother so free time is sparse and precious. I joined a local gym and dusted off my bike and cross trainer. I go to aqua aerobics just before my weigh in and get to the gym twice a week. I feel AWESOME! Sure, I miss my hair on and chocolate but the advice and support from the ladies at my weigh in and the support of my partner has been great. Whatever the support network, when the weather is grotty or you're tired the only person who can get you up and active is YOU. I love my little victories. Even the week of my birthday when I over indulged and only lost 1/2lb, I celebrated NOT gaining weight. Stick with it everyone and don't forget to pat yourself on the back for every little victory.
