Determined but with little willpower!

Hello

I have put on a stone and a half since giving up smoking 4 years ago and really want to loose it but I really struggle to stick to a diet. Has anyone any tips to help. Thanks Kate.

I found that by changing my eating habits for life rather than "dieting" makes it a lot easier to stick with. Changing old habits even something as simple as oven chips over deep fried chips can make a world of difference. Also instead of busing to town i now always walk in. Little changes that will add up to healthier life overall.

Main things ive changed is always eating breakfast and walking as much as possible. Find things in your normal eating habits you can change out for healthier options. My main change was cous cous instead of pasta or rice, and smaller portions.

Have you decided if you are calorie counting? 5:2? Another way of losing weight? Start by making a plan and stick to it. Well done on staying smoke free for so long, i wish i had the willpower to stay smoke free, decided that i want to get my weight under control now before quitting smoking again.

Good luck hope it all goes well? It can he hard but so worth it!
