I wear an upper denture & felt the first twinge in my upper left jaw, the place where my tng usually starts spreading from. Was doing laundry when i felt it again. went upstairs, removed denture, took 600 mg gabapentin, waited, did not finish coffee, sipped water, felt twinges again but continued putting laundry, using cane, fearful of gabapentin balance side effects, did everything, folded, put away. Pain is gone but my 3 hours later my mouth feels numb on the inside. the tongue is numb. Is this a side effect of gabapentin, of my ms (have 2cndry progrssive since unofficially 1989, officially 1994). Or a possible symptom of covid? Though no fever. ...
I am scared of eating now without the denture and a numb mouth. Haven't eaten anything yet today. Thanks for reading, sorry about typos.
Thank you, no longer think it was TN, never spread to my face. And pain mostly disapoeared. Best to all of you, ❤️ you all.
300 mg after it started again, with denture, seemed ok till 3 hours later figured i should eat somehow, so pulverized potato soup, carrots, potato, parsley, frozen, nuked, added milk, and was able to sip liquid but opening mouth to wide aroused fresh starbursts of pain.
so i guess it is tn after all. sigh. took another 300 mg but did take multivitamin now i've eaten a bit, stored rest in fridge, added baby food to my fresh direct order.
not looking forward to brushing teeth tonight.
