Hi All,

In the US, March is MS Awareness month. I plan to spend this month in prayer, over myself - yes, and for all who are affected by MS. If you don't believe in a higher power, please be respectful and move on from these posts. But if you would like to, please read and join in with me in lifting up these things. My goal is to post once a day for this month.

blessings,

Laurie

Dear God,

Thank you for this new day to live. I can't remember if I have prayed this before, but oh well. Today, I give you thanks for the medicines I take. I don't like that I need to take them, of course, but I am grateful that they exist and that I noticeably feel better with some of them. Thank you for my generic Ampyra, that seriously helps me to walk better than before. Thank you for our DMTs and that they're supposed to help us to not progress as quickly with MS. Thank you for simple painkillers. The other night, I had a backache (I must be getting old!) and I am grateful that I could quickly reach for some ibuprofen in my nightstand, take some, and be able to fall back asleep not too long after. Let me not take it for granted but have a thankful heart for that.

In your mercy Lord, please continue to provide for us. I pray for all of us with MS who need medicines. I pray for your provision. Thank you for the Genentech Patient Foundation and for that pharmacy that Mark Cuban started and for other ways that people are able to access medicines that their insurance may otherwise deny to them. I pray for those who don't have insurance at all and that you would send help and relief, especially to those in low income countries who suffer and don't have access to quickly go to a hospital or clinic. I pray for those who are waiting Lord - I pray and ask that you would allow for paperwork to process quickly, for those who work in insurance to have compassion and for all of us to have relief from our pains. Please bring your healing touch.

In Jesus' name, amen

Thank you, I really needed this prayer today as I just posted about being frustrated with medication! I need to be more grateful for what we have available to us now. My grandmother had MS at a time where there was nothing…we are truly blessed with what we have available 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

same. There was nothing available for my mother in the 80's. Please Gd let me stop complaining and be grateful for my medications, my insurance, my doctor, my ability to afford it all. I am not alone.

I really needed this prayer this morning. I’m scheduled for my SSD hearing on tomorrow and have been praying fervently that I will be awarded SSD and Medical Insurance. My Insurance with Cobra expires on the 31st. I have appeal with Cobra to see if they can grant me an extension of coverage while awaiting a decision from SSD.

In the event if insurance ends will have to change Med. With getting ACA even if I get the coverage the cost is still increased for coverage with having a preexisting condition. Pls be in prayer for me on tomorrow that favor is granted. Thanks in advance🙏🏾

I am 77 and have MS which 'appears' to be dormant based upon last 4 MRI's. I am so fortunate and grateful.

Previously I successfully took Ampyra. Worked perfectly. Then insurance dropped them from formulary and said I had to switch to Dalfampridine. Ampyra was $35.00 for 3 month supply with patient assistance. The replacement is $185 for 3 month supply and NO patience assistance. My husband and I take several medications, some are very high costs even with our expensive, excellent insurance.

Found out there are many Foundations out there that will provide their insurance codes for the pharmacies to use for payment. Was awarded $2,500 to pay for a heart medication.

I did a search for foundations to help pay medicines.

My medicare d charges more for deductible dalfampridine per month than I can just pay outright for from a company called GeniusRx. I think in the neighborhood of $50. I’ve found it’s hard to find a foundation my MS drugs, I had one for awhile but don’t currently. I was take Copaxone but am waiting now for a dr appt in May to change meds.

Thank you dear Lord to go back to this community. I have 28 days of prayers to go through. I am grateful for my insurance and meds. I am grateful for these prayers. I will going to take the new plunge with my husband to get off Cobra and go to Medicare. Thank you Lord for the DMT that sustain me for so long. Please give me a stronger faith and more love to Thee.
