Hi All,
In the US, March is MS Awareness month. I plan to spend this month in prayer, over myself - yes, and for all who are affected by MS. If you don't believe in a higher power, please be respectful and move on from these posts. But if you would like to, please read and join in with me in lifting up these things. My goal is to post once a day for this month.
blessings,
Laurie

Dear God,
Thank you for this past month and the challenge it has been to post a prayer every day. I am grateful that some folks have been encouraged. That's all I wanted Lord, to help lift someone else's spirits for a bit. So I continue to ask for your healing, but I pray that it would be with a greater purpose.
I believe God that you are good and perfect. I believe that you work out all things for the good of those who love you and have been called according to your purpose. I don't believe any of us have MS as a kind of punishment. Jesus, you took all the punishment for our sins on the cross. But you, Lord, have allowed us to go through these pains and bear this lot in our lives. So I pray that you would somehow be glorified in our lives through our suffering. I know that you can take what is meant for evil and make it good. When Joseph was sold by his brothers into slavery, you were with him and used his life to save his people from the famine. When Jesus was crucified, it looked like the end. But it wasn't. You can take what we think is the worst thing ever and do something beautiful with it. So I pray that you would take our MS burdened lives and do something glorious with them. Please use my life and even use the disease I have to bring your light and love to others.
In Jesus' name, amen

Thanks to everyone who has prayed along with me. I will still post here and there, but I know that for now, I am meant to go back to praying along the verses of Matthew 6 - to go in my room, close the door, and pray to my Father in the secret. Truly, some prayers are meant to be public, and some are meant to be private.
If you ever want me to pray for you, feel free to ask and I would love to.
