Hi All,
In the US, March is MS Awareness month. I plan to spend this month in prayer, over myself - yes, and for all who are affected by MS. If you don't believe in a higher power, please be respectful and move on from these posts. But if you would like to, please read and join in with me in lifting up these things. My goal is to post once a day for this month.
blessings,
Laurie

Dear God,
Thank you for stairs. I hate stairs. I hate that only my leg left can lift up and get on the step properly and I need to drag the right one up there. But still, I thank you for them. I thank you that everyday, because there are stairs in my home, I am forced to use them. Without them, I know my walking would decline even more. So thank you for this home I live in. Thank you for the provision of a roof over my head and a place to sleep away from the cold. Thank you for the challenge it is to get around.
I pray for all those with MS who also have trouble with stairs and walking. Oh Lord, please bring your healing touch. Please strengthen our hip flexion muscles and help us Lord to be able to raise our knees. Please help us to simply lift our legs to get into a car. I remember that someone on this forum just vented about that issue. Thank you for tools like a leg lifter and a stool to slowly step on. But you know Oh Lord, how much better it would be to not even need those devices. Please Jesus, heal us. Help us to be patient with our own bodies that don't seem to want to move as we want them to. Please heal us. Please let us function the way we were meant to. Help me to praise and thank you anyway while I wait.
In Jesus' name, amen
