I wondered if I would have the dexterity to finish this quilt, but it is about done; it just needs to be quilted and bound. This is going to a lady in our church who is undergoing chemo. My real thrill is that my doctor agreed that it's time to stop the Copaxone! I'm progressing slowly, but not having any relapses and show no sign of changes in my MRIs.

That's beautiful. Glad things are going so well for you. How long have you been on Copaxone? I was on it for over 16 years before I stopped it
That turned out AMAZING! Congrats to you for finishing and fir donating it to a woman who needs the reminder there are beautiful things in the world 🌎
Beautiful quilt! Good news about the Copaxone. You must be so happy.
Great news for you re copaxone and the quilt is as beautiful as ever. Well done 👍
It's beautiful!
What a beautiful quilt! I'm new here, so have you made a lot of them? I'm sure your church lady will be thrilled to get it.
Your creations are stunning.. Wish they could be entered in the artist of the month selections! I'm sure the recipient will be thrilled. Great news about the Copaxone!
Wow, that is absolutely stunning! I'm sure the woman who it's for will get much needed joy from this lovely gift. I have a question about stopping Copaxone - will you be starting another DMT? I want to talk to my neurologist about stopping Copaxone when I turn 65 later this year. Many reasons, the least of which once I'm on Medicare I will no longer receive the insurance that pays for it!
I had begun thinking about my low relapse rate, slow progression, no changes on MRIs, lipoatrophy, and few injection sites remaining and wondered why I was still taking it. I have also been on the phone almost daily for over a month, even while visiting family for three weeks, getting insurance, new pharmacy, shipping, and pharmaceutical company all straightened out. Our insurance changed again at the beginning of the year, as it does almost every year, but this year’s challenges amazed even me. We will be changing to Medicare in the next 3-4 years, too. I think there are many factors to consider for each of us. This was simply how I came to my conclusion. We’re I younger with more active disease, I may have decided the fight was worth it.
I’m sure you’ll make a well-informed decision.
Hi, Sis. Can you direct message me. I've been on Copaxonefor 14 years! I have never had any new "leisions" but my subcultanues tissue is jacked - up and I know my hair is alot thinner because of it. Pretty low flare's, I just have extremely low blood pressure, so my doc's proceed with a little caution with trying something new. What is your new DMT?
Thanks always
NeeC
It's beautiful, I love it!💕
oh my it is so beautiful...so pretty ...that lady is going to just love it ,she will feel all of the love in it to her ...so wonderful ....loves ...
Beautiful, greaterexp ! How long have you been on Copaxone? I was on it for 7 years before I stopped because my subcutaneous tissue was being destroyed. What will be your next DMT? Keep Smiling
About 4 or 5 years. No more DMTs unless things change.
That sounds like a plan, greaterexp . I am sure that your neurologist will keep a close eye on you should your ‘ms’ change. This not taking a DMT has made me think about that. I will certainly discuss with my neurologist the next time that I have an appointment with him. I am currently waiting for my next infusion to be scheduled in March. Keep Smiling, my friend.
Wonderful news going off Copaxone! What a beautiful quilt! Your artistry and gift to others is also something to celebrate! Many blessings to you!

Simply elegant. i'm sure so much work has gone into that quilt! also great for your hands, right? as for copaxone, many congratulations.
This quilt is really lovely! You are such an artist!
Yeah, for stopping the Copaxone. No more shots! I was so happy to have a reaction to it and got to stop only a few months in. Glad for you!
What a beautiful quilt! I used to try my hand at quilting but had to give it up (eyes, hands).
Like you, I gave up Copaxone after 3 years on it. I stayed off it for 10 years but over a year ago I went back on it. The second time around it was a steeper climb to get past the initial side effects but it's been going along smoothly enough in recent months. I made this decision mainly because there has been some very slight evidence that Copaxone helps to prevent COVID-19. There is also some evidence that the interferons do this as well.
Also, I just didn't want to take any chances on having the MS get worse if I could have done something to slow it down.
My doctor was supportive for both decisions--to stop the Copaxone and to start it up again. When I was resuming it, the doctor did warn me about side effects.
I have found the 3-times-a-week Copaxone injections far easier than the daily ones.
Lovely!! Congrats on being done with copaxone 🎉
what a beautiful gift
