So after reading and writing back to ppl, l to took some advice and called my Dr. I explained to him that l couldn't handle how much I was sleeping and l needed to do something about it. He prescribed me a generic brand of provigal. I really hope this works. Cause l woke up exhausted this morning.

I use Nuvagil. Similar to Provigil. Take half a pill and it gets me thru the day. Physically and cognitively. :) Using X yrs. problem is if I skip a day I feel its absence and feel super lethargic. Not from the MS but from the lack of nuvagil :(

It has worked ok for me. It only last about 4 hours so I take 1 in the morning and 1 at lunch. It doesn't make me feel energized but I don't feel like I need to fall asleep. No jittery side effects either

i hope it works for you! fatigue is part of the reason i am on ssdi. i was falling asleep standing up - anywhere, everywhere. it's a horrible feeling and the meds did nothing for me. it is such a real and debilitating problem.

Hello, nice to hear you being proactive with your issue. How's your sleeping? I know people who have sleep apnea and they sleep using a CPAP machine. Before the machine they would wake up in the morning after they thought they had a goodnight sleep, but after getting a Sleep Study they was diagnosed and was told they was waking up often during the night. They now sleep better and wake up well rested and will not sleep without it.

Check out some of the symptoms of having sleep apnea. You'll be surprise. Good luck

Hi there, thank you for the advice on the provigal. I had also talked to my support group about it and they said the same thing or Adderall, doc said no to that. Sleeping has never been an issue for me, and the doc doesn't seem to think l have sleep apnea. It's the 3 days a cpl times a month that l have trouble staying awake.

There are several supplements that can help a lot. For example, l-theanine taken 30 minutes before sleep at night crosses the blood brain barrier and helps your brain make more GABA and melatonin.
