Side effects of Covid-19 vaccine to people with MS

Hello

My neurologist told me it is safe for me (a person with MS under Copaxon DMT for 6 years now) to get the Covid-19 vaccine, but he insisted to get one of the mRNA type approved vaccines (e.g. the Pfizer one).

Is there any information about side effects of Covid-19 vaccines to people with MS ?

Thanks for your advice

No, there’s no data yet for autoimmune diseases and those vaccines. GL!

My Nero says the same thing & I'm on Ocrevus 2&1/2 yr now. Just do it so you have minum of 2 weeks before next infusion! I'm still waiting for an appointment.

I keep trying but if it's anything like the flu shot I couldn't take it anyway! So I keep depending on my Lord He keeps me safe & I watch what I'm doing & who I'm around & wash my hands wear a mask!

Still waiting for my vaccination turn. It will be before May 21, I believe.

Folks I know who've been vaccinated report stiff arms. My sister, 76, who has very painful rheumatoid arthritis is scheduled in early February. Her daughter, a nurse who carries an EpiPen because of her many allergies, was vaccinated and had no reaction except painful stiffness for her whole body. She stayed in bed for two days; after that she was back to normal. If my sister has a reaction, I'll let the forum know since RA is an autoimmune disease like MS.

No information other than personal experience. Round 1 of vaccine (moderna) received last Thursday. Little bit of a sore arm on Friday and slight runny nose this weekend. Aubagio for DMT.

Many thanks for your experience on Covid-19 vaccine to people with MS. It seems that it is ok to have the vaccine, since side effects are not important and risks of the virus very high to all of us (if not protected). In Greece we have a third wave of the pandemic now and I am waiting for the Health Ministry SMS message to arrange an appointment for vaccination. My wife had the Astrazeneca vaccine 4 days ago and only minor issues that disappeared in 48 hours after vaccination.

Thanks again for all your replies.

My experience is hard cord flu ! Body head temperature. After the first time I was being told it wouldn’t happen again ! And it did this time in the hospital with internal bleeding. I feel like a fool if I did the 3rd one .
