With Zoom, I can meet up with family and friends, attend classes and seminars, and still lead my books club. I miss hugging and seeing people in person, but I definitely was less isolated as in past years especially during our dogged, hot and humid days. After 30+ years, I still haven’t really learn how to stay cool and calm during the summer. (It was easier when I was raising our sons, which are now 29 & 33 years old.
I hope we don’t lose some of this manner of communication or inclusion for disabled folks when ever we start a new “normal” with the rest of the world.
Zoom, zoom, zoom.......!

A Mazda RX7, I wish. I had to give up my driving licence as I was a liability. I had a God incident the other day. The Vicar from the local church stopped me whilst I was out riding on my scooter. She stopped and told me that all their services are on zoom. So now I am going to try their service in October. Watch this space 🤗
I had a Mazda 3 at one time. My son is borrowing it. I drive my husbands Subaru Outback for short errands; you thought he was going to have a tizzy - me in his precious man car.😊. I did pass my driving trial with him in it. But still ..... he rather chauffeur me. I am not yet to give up all my independence. Not yet!
That is so true. Many people take so much for granted, like walking, a kiss, love, being together (now so many isolated souls, many depressed younger folks) my son is depressed but I tell him to visit us. Not the same as his friends his age). MS has taught me not to take so much for granted.
I just downloaded the app for my phone, but have yet to try it out. My daughter uses Facetime calls sometimes, and I sure appreciate those wonderful calls. I can see and hear her, her sweet husband, and her kids. What joy it is to get those calls when I can't be there!
Sometimes I get calls from my sister on Facetime. I get to see her and the kids (niece and nephew) as they are in WI and the virus there is out of control and growing all the time I don't know when I will get to see her and the kids in person. Thankful for the technology that we have now.
We use them for a Christian meeting. This way we don't miss out it's wonderful. Also we have a breakfast group that meets every Monday morning. We used to meet at a restaurant now we just bring our breakfast to the table and get on Zoom and get to visit it's good to. This is a wonderful way to communicate and stay in touch.
Be careful not to use Zoom on your computer. It can make you vulnerable to hacking. Phones have have a different security system format than computers & aren't as venerable to hacking.
I share your feelings about zooming. I meet with a men's discussion group once a week via Zoom. Have you come across any MS support groups that meet this way?
