Relax take a breath

Relax take a breath, shed a tear if “YOU” need to. This does not make “YOU” weak, merely human. Yes, relax take a breath, start making a plan. Write it down do not tell anybody, just keep it to yourself. Have it in writing so “YOU” do not forget it. Leave lots of spaces as I am sure that if “YOU” are anything anything like me and people I know, “YOU” will change your mind a dozen times by the end of the week. This is not bad do not be angry at yourself. This may be a completely foreign experience for “YOU”. It could be several years into your journey and “YOU” are just lacking a little lost. Which believe me is totally understandable and normal. Always have a couple of really long term goals, ones that “YOU” can continually move towards but hopefully never reach and this is okay. Just calmly look at yourself and your life and work towards making your everyday life a little easier. Stop for a day or two and just relax, breath and take it all in.

It is okay to just lay in bed and read a book. The one thing that is NEVER okay is to stop taking your Disease Modifying Therapy (DMT) If “YOU” find yourself skipping doses snd avoiding taking it, “YOU” are on the wrong medicine, Find someway to change it. Taking your DMT is very important, and it is a long term task. Twenty plus years so far and it will be for the rest of my long ms life. Yours as well. Remember there are no cures only treatment.

This disease has its ups and downs, to be honest mostly down but how hard those downs are and how quick they come is up yo you. Do nothing and those downs will be here very fast. Take a DMT, exercise, eat sort of eat sensibly and “YOU” will not be cured, but your life will be a lot easier and happier, and these are good things. And good things are things we like and strive for, in this our ms life.

Somebody said to me the other day that I have lots so my life is good, they can never have that. I disagreed and said that I planned, I had a goal and have spent my ms life working towards that goal. I did not write it down years ago so today I have no idea what it was. I just started taking my DMT which I hated ate right and started going to a gym. Today I mostly eat right, go to the gym three times a week and have a DMT (#3) which does not involve needles, yes, life is pretty good. I am not really sure how to make it better. More expensive toys, less debt they would be okay, but I am at ease with myself. I am comfortable being me, perhaps that is why a “cure” is of little interest to me. I understand if “YOU” have not got the same attitude, maybe one day. Continually fighting, banging my head against a brick wall, I had an x wife for that. No, just relax take a deep breath and think. My ms life is a long one. I have lots to learn and achieve. I am going to make a plan to do it, and do it in away that makes me happy and worthwhile. What more can I ask?
