So, I'm sitting here minding my own business and I get a text from an unknown number. "Will you be home? I want to drop off some blueberries." Now, I absolutely love blueberries! I also only know one person who has any, so I hoped it wasn't a wrong number and told them to come on over.
Sure enough; it was my aunt. She'd forgotten that she never gave me her cell phone number, and she not only brought fresh-picked blueberries but part of a blueberry cake! I'm going to take them out on the back porch and eat them all by myself. 😁
Life doesn't get any better than this!

Absolutely the best! She has to watch her diet and activities due to only having one kidney, was absolutely devoted to my late uncle while he was dealing with liver failure, and in the midst of all that she offered to drive me to doctor's appointments or the grocery store if I needed help. I've never heard her raise her voice or say an unkind word about anyone.
Yummy! I have been making blueberry jam and putting it on vanilla ice cream! I seriously do not recommend it, unless you want to become addicted to it! I make the jam extra thick and mix it all up really good. It’s just heavenly! And yes, I am addicted to it! I have sent some to my kids and now they are begging for more, as well as the rhubarb raspberry jam that I make. Yummy stuff. Enjoy your berries.
How sweet of her! There's nothing like fresh fruits & veggies in the summer. And so many ways to have blueberries. Pancakes, muffins, ice cream, cereal, pie, and blueberry wine (if you are into that!).
