Things that I do, just because I can. I passionately dislike needles and do everything that I can to avoid them. Though I did religiously take Interferon Beta 1b for a decade without stopping. Get a baseline reading of your blood levels. Any vitamins that “YOU” can think of, cholesterol, things like that. Have a baseline to be able to look at. Do not just rely on the averages from blood test reports, know yourself. Remember it is all about caring for yourself. Start taking responsibility for yourself in all things. It is “NOT” hard, impossible or beyond “YOU”. it just requires “YOU” to make a decision to care about yourself.
Make a table for your Disease Modifying Therapy (DMT). On the top put the names, on the left start listing things like frequency, style (self injection, infusion TABLET} frequency taken and other things that mean something to “YOU” mayBe effectiveness. Put an x in each column and whichever medicine has the most X’s at the end wins, easy. If “YOU” are unsure what I mean most drugs have these tables in their info, copy it and adapt it as “YOU” see fit. Perhaps ask us or somebody else if “YOU” get lost. Do not panic if the first medicine “YOU” take does not suit “YOU” I have done three in my twenty plus years. The important thing is to never stop taking a DMT, accept that they have side effects and adjustment periods. These are powerful drugs not baby vitamin vitamin gummies
This condition takes constant adjusting, It is not solved in a day, Learn this and accept this. It is just like being on a huge sand dune. The sand constantly moves and “YOU move downhill. Sometimes up a few meters(FEET) but the nature of this condition is to go down. The speed at which “YOU” go down can be influenced by your actions. I personally would like to still taste, but at least I do not hurt anymore, though it will cone back. This is the nature of our illness, I suggest not fight it, merely managing it, and the speed at which you slide down the sand hill. I intend to be as close to the top at the end as I possibly can. There is room up here so grab my hand and come join me. If we all join hands we can support each other in getting to and staying close to the top of the sand dune.
Be smart about your ms, do not panic do not be afraid. Okay little afraid, but do not let that fear break “YOU” it is a doable disease, and :YOU CAN”.
