I fainted - Again...

I fainted last night, for no apparent reason; I had not done anything exhausting nor had any suggestions from my body previously, to slow down. I was trying to put food in the microwave and down I went.

This is the second time this has occurred within the last 6 months. What is going on? Has anyone else dealt with this? It scares me and I always break out in a hot sweat and feel like I must vomit, but never do. So I'm guessing it's a physical "reset" by my brain?

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Curious - perhaps it's hormonal. I'm not in Menepause yet, my body is just flirting with that idea, so maybe. I hope not, I'm only 53 for petesake!

Maybe your blood pressure? Do you take blood pressure meds? A call to your doc is best. Keep us updated when you can.

Agreed on the microwave advice. Never owned one in my life.

This kept happening to my daughter, and after much testing, she didn't have enough salt in her diet and her blood pressure must have been dropping. Solution was to drink Gatorade type products and use the salt shaker more. It also happens to my Mom. Not sure if this is your problem, but I thought I'd pass it along.

Thank you. I will try the Gatorade as I do think salt may be a culprit, as I do not eat much of it with my diet.

My mom will lick a little salt from her palm.

Please call your doctor ASAP, as this is not normal and can be due to many different problems. Your body is asking for attention!

I agree with most here in saying that you should let your medical team aware of what is going on ~ ASAP!

Juliew,

I have had similar experiences and it was determined to be high heart rate with low low blood pressure. After tests & finally seeing a cardiologist, apparently I have a autonomic system failure (dysautonomia) /not sure if I spelled right. This may be due to progressing MS amongst other things. I’m now on several medicines that help slow heart rate and RAISE b/p -especially when I stand up!

This may not be your cause but would advise getting checked out ASAP ! 🤗

My best friends wife has had MS for twenty seven years now and the last fifteen years she had had problems off and on with fainting. It usually has to do with her blood pressure getting to low and out she goes. Seems to happen every two or three months for a day or two. Best thing is to let your doctor know what is going on? Best wishes 👍🙏. Ken 🐾😉

Please let your Dr. know. That happened to me once. They did blood work and found out I drink too much water.

now I also drink water with Electrolytes in it which helps.

Your story reminds me of a lady I know that passed out for no apparent reason in a grocery store. This happened before she was diagnosed with MS. Evidently her fainting was associated with her MS. Good idea to talk to your neurologist.

Hi I am going through the same thing. It's like I am having a whole lot of like hot flashes I can go outside in the cold weather with no jacket on and it feels good because I'm always sweating. I told my primary health care doctor about what was going on with me because I'm always feeling like I'm going to vomit but I dont and I can not eat much without feeling sick and she want me to go see a OBGYN doctor to find out if I have something going on like a ovarian cyst to be experience some my symptoms. I go for my appointment on December 5th I will let you know what happens. Your symptoms sounds like I am experiencing.

Julie, I too agree that you should go see your doctor to find out what is up. I do have a couple of ideas but without medical training they're just my ideas and not sound medical diagnosis. I have fainted before due to low sugar. My mother had the same issue. Before MS took over my life if I worked really hard in intense Heat I had to eat more often or I would occasionally keel over. I also typically deal with low blood pressure which is again a gift for my mother. If it gets too well that's another great way to make you pass out. Those would be my two best guesses of what might be plaguing you but get to the doctor and let them diagnose the true cause. Fancy.
