Updated Ocrevus Poll!

There have been numerous questions once again concerning the DMT Ocrevus. I went back to check the original pole and it's been over 5 months since it was posted. So I thought it was time to update our whole and share our current information about Ocrevus from those of us who are actually taking the DMT. People who then are considering taking ocrevus can read what's happening to us, the side effects we are experiencing, and any improvements or problems we are also experiencing and then, along with their doctor's input and advice help to make a more informed choice about taking the DMT. I hope what the membership gains from this post are questions and concerns they might bring up to the doctor based on what they read about what is happening to the members who are taking Ocrevus. to decide if the DMT sounds right for them.

It's Fancy1959 and I am going to be on Ocrevous one year this coming October. I have yet to experience any negative side effects during or immediately after the infusion. So it's smooth sailing for me on the DMT. My blood counts bounce back up so even my body responds well to the DMT.

The positive results I'm seeing are:

1. I'm still experiencing a slight reduction in my spasticity.

2. I've been working at some exercise in recumbent bike work and I've noticed a marked improvement in my leg strength.

3. And I'm seeing a provement in my walking.

At this time and even immediately after taking Ocrevus I have yet to seeing what I consider any negative results from therapy. I'm a tough old broad and most drugs do not affect me negatively whatsoever. The only negative side effect is the way Ocrevous works, it chronically reduces your immune system in it seems I am prone to UTIs do to my MS. So that is the biggest negative thing I've seen is you must be careful about infections while on the therapy. Just stay on top of your body and if you suspect you have any type of infection going on call your primary health care provider and get in to have it checked out. Don't let them drag on and make you really sick and you got it licked.

Above all I'm trying to be patient to allow Ocrevus the time it needs to make some major positive changes, hopefully, to my body. They say from all the clinical trials in the research done on this DMT that the best results are usually coming to the forefront sometime a year-and-a-half the two and a half years into the therapy. Hey Fancy1959,

I am scheduled for my second (and first full dose) Ocrevus infusion at the end of August. My understanding of Ocrevus is that individuals taking this DMT should not expect to see any effects from it until they are on Ocrevus for at least 18-24 months, but I have seen some improvements in my gait, balance, and overall mood/thinking.

I have also read, perhaps in this forum, that the effects of Ocrevus wane after 5 1/2 months. Has anyone experienced this? I do see some things occurring, like stiffer joints, more little aches and pains, but I am attributing that to the weather and old age!

I will give my Ocrevus update in early September.

I have had the two first half doses and two full doses. No problems at all. Only expecting a slow down in progression. Last MRI showed no new brain lesions. First time in Five years. I do have PPMS
