G'day, So u have ms. It really is not the end of your world even it it sees like it is. I like to think of it as a light turn on your road of life. Best advice so far, is slow down there are so really rough speed bumps ahead, hitting them to fast is going to hurt.
Now this road is your road and yours alone, I can not give u all the answers and if I try to, stop me ignore me whatever just TAKE what suits you best, treat it like a smorgasbord. Look around see what looks good and just take a little at first and see how you digest it. There is a path which is easiest for YOU it may take some distance to find it, but u will.
Getting off the road is against the rules, what rules. THE RULES u will find them as your journey continues.
My friend, it is a wild & crazy ride, but ride it you must, for this is your ride. You will find strength you never thought u had allies u never expected and a road trip of unbelievable adventures. But this U CAN do.

Well written...But going off road is kinda my thing...That's why I drive a 4x4π I just can't go as far off road as I would like and used to do...MS won't let me.βΉ oh well. Down the road we go...where we stop...nobody knows.
Wow, Royce! You so very well verbalized what I believe wholeheartedly, but don't have the words. When people look at me with people pity, or try to tell me I shouldn't attempt something, I try to tell them it's just s bump in the road, and I'll find a detour around it and it's a new adventure. They just don't get it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
According to some people I should be acting like an invalid already. Not my nature and I refuse. I do what I can and push my luck while doing it. Most people don't immediately know that I'm sick. Some catch on when I start stumbling for words or have issues talking at all. A few have asked if I'm ok when they see me grabbing for shelves in the store because my head started spinning. I tell them I just stood up too fast. No big deal it'll pass. I will not be an easy patient if I do get to the point that I'm an invalid.
RoyceNewtown, it's Fancy1959. Long time no talk. It is so very good to hear from you again! We've missed you here and you always feel an empty hole in our lives when a member of our family decides to sit out of the Family Circle! I would like you to remember that each and every individual that travels down this pothole strewn detour field bumpy and rocky road that Ms puts in front of us travels at slightly different path. But it is my firm belief that we all walk similar past that are parallel to one another. And it is my firm belief that as a person who has successfully navigated a certain rough spot along the path, it is our duty to reach out and grab people who are stumbling or try to give up a friendly hand and pull them back up to their feet. With the help of others our chances of successfully navigating this rock-strewn and detoured filled MS path increases dramatically! That's what this chat room is all about and why there are people who have been here for over 2 years helping others. Simple encouragement, advice, caring, and the sharing of successes and experiences can help the newcomers or the ones who are about to give up so very much!
And just like you said we can navigate this path no matter how treacherous it becomes. There is as I always say our strength comes from our family and our numbers so please always remember that together we are stronger!πͺππ
