You did not think I knew you were out there did you. It's okay. do not be scared I wont tell until you are ready, it really is okay they do not bight, well that is another group isn't it. Every one is a grown up here so I bet if I never mention that problem you are worried about, somebody might. I do recommend Depends FIT Flex at Amazon just saying.
Okay on to your fear. Now it is ok to be scared bewildered and overwhelmed, if you weren't I would be very concerned and be asking you for advice, as you obviously have it more together than I ever did, or will do.
To introduce myself, I am Royce, been in the game for 2 or 3 months under 20 years. Go to the gym, ride my racing Trike (tricycle) Travel back and forth to Australia often but have not driven in 20+years.
I have learned in my time to accept the chronic mischievousness of this illness, I take my medicine, always have and never ever ask, why me. It is a disease of the human condition, I am human so, why not me is really the better question. You are really in a neat position now. There is so much available it just takes you to choose, so be smart and choose something. Choosing nothing really does not count, so I am sorry choose something do not wait another day. Remember this small piece of advice somebody once gave me, " ms may not kill you but a heart Attack or stroke really might". Point being stay healthy, eat right exercise all the stuff you hate. I do not care but you really should look after yourself, you are playing this life game already damaged so why make it worse?
There are a thousand things for you to learn, and I am sorry I can not tell you all of them. Honestly I probably do not now them all after all this time.
I guess most importantly I will say, take the medicine exactly as prescribed. Listen to advice, if it fits you, use it, if it doesn't just remember it. Learn everything about ms, forget it every 10 years and learn again. Take your time, get comfortable and ask questions, that is really important. Of course listen to the answers, that really does go without saying, but I do understand if you are a little overwhelmed at times.
Remember you are in charge of you, do not let people push you around, be proud of yourself, celebrate your victories. You will have them this is not your end, just a new and different beginning.
Take this illness and make it your triumph, for it is a marathon not a sprint and the checkered flag is your, just remember to make your choices to win that flag.
It is your ms journey not mine just give yourself a chance, oh and valium I find is really good for MRI times.
Have fun and enjoy, you will understand that later.
Best to you,
Royce
