Another week ahead and colder weather is here. Had rain in the valley and snow βοΈ on the hills above us. Sure glad I got everything done outside last week and sprinklers shut off. Winter π₯Ά is coming quickly but we need the moisture badly π. My buddies wife was in rehab for 63 days for a bout with her ms. She was released back home last Monday and was worse than before, dang. They sent a van over yesterday and picked her up as she still has 37 days that Medicare pays for. Also tested positive for Covid yesterday and they figured she probably acquired it at last stay. Hugh got tested and is fine. So far I feel ok as I was up to the house several times π€πΌ She was really down and depressed last night as I think any of us would be. I am going to help him look at some assisted living facilities as we donβt think she will be able to go home. Hugh just canβt take care of her anymore as itβs hurting his health also. She is 75 and heβs 76 Our journey can be tough but all we can do is try to adapt and let our higher power lead us πππΌπ Enjoy your Sunday and stay on the positive side ππ

ken I am sorry about your friend and his wife, itβs a hard decision to make, but I hope that they can find somewhere close to where they live which they both like. Also sorry about the Covid I pray that you will not get it. On a different note we are predicted 70* weather with heavy rain at times, itβs nearly November and itβs not normally this mild. Enjoy the snow βοΈπΎ

Keep positive, think of it as an old peoples' resort, where there are daily activities, communal meals with your friends, and no cooking or cleaning! Okay, I'd miss the no cooking part. My mother in law checked herself into an assisted living on here own, and was forever happy she did. She had Parkinson's and was fully mobile when she moved, and loved it till the end. The end, it's never over, till the end. I just buried my friend since grammar school, the one I did everything with over the many years. 2 days before he died, I got him e-biking a trail near him, something he really wanted to do, and loved it! Did so without any pedaling, with his tiny bottles of oxygen, just in time for the fall foliage. Was so proud of it! So never give up.
He was a recipient of a double lung transplant as a result of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, some 17? years earlier. The way he suddenly died, but amazingly still hung on just long enough, he was able to donate organs. It isn't over till the end. Enjoy every minute!!!
