my husband's aunt is dying(sad).she is 75 year old.she was being treated for adnoid cancer, not operable,so she had 36 radiation treatments and chemo.the radiation caused her many problems including a feeding tube.well she was doing so well they were removing her feeding tube and found a large cancer mass behind her stomach .the dr's.told her she has about 2 weeks to live, they sent her home.she cannot eat or drink.her communication has been great, she is on pain killers but very lucid.she has had the opportunity to say goodbye to her friends and family, her 4 sisters and brother visited her, and they said it was like a family reunion.she sent me a christmas gift to make sure i got it.at the end thinking of others.so it made me reflect what a God given blessing and gift, if we were all given 2 weeks notice,i bet we wouldn't talk about these worldly things on the news, she was able to say all her goodbyes............oh to be given such a kindness at end of life

a sad story with a great ending
Yes Pam...I totally agree! What a blessing. Only a select few receive a gift of that magnitude at the end of life as we know it. However, sheโs right where she set out to be so many years ago after accepting our Savior. Yes sheโll be missed, but sheโs dancing on the streets of gold today.Praise Jesus for a life well lived on this side of eternity! God bless you my friend.
I experienced that with my dad & it was the best gift ever.
what a lovely gift a few special people have,i don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon, but i hope i have 2 weeks notice!
falalalalaโ- me too with my dad....๐
I'm glad for you
Me tooโ-If I didnโt get the chance to heal, hug, etc.
With my dad before he passed.... it would have probably wounded me...
I am at peace with everything...๐
Same here.
Believe me, I am grateful for that conversation.

Sorry for your loss...๐
What a wonderful, yet sad story.
75...the older I get, the younger that sounds. I hope her passing was easy. Sounds like she did the right things when she knew her time on this earth was coming to a close.
That's bittersweet, pamgarner
Thank you for sharing and I am sorry for your loss
