Diced Apple, Toasted Walnut, Crumbled Queso Fresco (Snow), on a Bed of Spring Mix Lettuces Because it Snowed Again Yesterday. This morning snow on the just greening grass. (sorry it took some work to straighten out my misbehaving computer hiding my photos transferred)

Will you incorporate fresh flowers in your salads this summer?

No, but my friend's mother used to make us pick dandelions for salads as kids?

Try nasturtiums, if you have any. They're pretty good raw or stuffed. The only way I like my dandelion greens is cooked in a bit of vinegar and bacon fat! They say that dandelion wine is pretty good, but I don't do wine and have never been interested in picking enough of the flowers to try it.

Now you did it. I may plant a large pot of them out front where it is sunniest. Though they may be all foliage as all my veggies and ornamental plants are watered via drip irrigation and timers. But it would be colorful. Hopefully not too peppery.

Not only do your salads look scrumptious, but you also present them very well, MarkUpnorth :-D

These were easy. The lettuces as fresh as I can find them. Often has to be plated leaf by leaf, to weed out any wilted or browning pieces. I have tweezers just for that. This box of lettuce wasnearly perfect as is. That seldom occurs. And even this fresh, by day 2 you have to inspect every piece.

I'm a big salad person and that looks delicious. I naturally crave that kind of food. I grew up in a house where they fried a lot of food and dumped vegetables out of a can. When I got out of my own I started eating healthy foods which are very appealing to me. My children grew up on salads and healthy foods and to this day they love that kind of food. They don't eat junk food. And my grandchildren love salads. They love avocados and guava and all kinds of foods I never heard about when I was little.

Avocados are a must have all the time in my kitchen, like bread and butter to some, I seldom stock bread, now quava...when was the last time I had quava? Adding to my list!
