The other day, in a reply to a post I mentioned Dr Allen Bowling and his book "Complementary & Alternative Medicine & MS." Here is a link to an article about Dr Bowling with an interview and a link to his website.

Thanks BillD999 from what l read through, it sounds like what most PCP's and Neurologists want there patients to do anyway. Eat right, exercise, take your vit. D, don't drink, (man l miss my tiquila) no smoking, and that's sooo not happening! Almost common sense things.☺

We are warned do not take meds and drink. Why? Bought tequila, whiskey 😖 1st time this yr.. Mix w/ spices although doubt if I'll ever drink whiskey after back & stomach ache. Sorry! I've fallen off the wagon. PCP lab appointment I pray all is well.

Hi Bill, I have just read the link again on vitamin D. I do not understand the passage where he mentions that people who live near the coastal areas were more prone to ms than people who live inland, yet the coastal people eat more fish with omega 3 and vitamin D. I am confused, you would think it would be the other way around. Blessings Jimeka 🦋 🌈

@jimeka, I think, based on other reading I have done, that this is a mistake and should read that people in coastal areas have a lower incidence of MS, not higher. Thanks for pointing that out, it is confusing.

Reading dr bowlings site, there's a drop down box with a wealth of info on many supplements and alt. Treatments.

All seem evidenced based. Awesome info but believe it's from 2007. Does he have updates?

erash, his most recent book was published in 2014 so hopefully it contains more current info (I don't have that book).

Hi BillD999, Complimentary Alternative Medicine and MS book is helpful in managing MS. Dr. Allen C. Bowling, Dr. Andrew Weil and Dr. Robert Young intergrates conventional & unconventional medicines. Today, I took Bowling's book off bookshelf after ten years I realized I have been working hard fighting MS. Thanx for post!
