I am most grateful for those who seek to help others find relief. That includes those who write books and those who share their experiences.

You're right, OCD treatment has made tremendous progress the last 40 years, thanks to people doing research and sharing their experiences.

It’s great when people help others but one needs to be careful not to take everything at face value. There is a lot of misinformation out there from well-meaning people and well as people who run scams. There is also information that is disguised as legitimate treatment but is meant to push an agenda instead and the “evidence” they present isn’t quality evidence. It can be ineffective or even harmful. Evidenced-based is a term that often is misunderstood. It is a good idea to check information to see if it lines up with what OCD experts recommend.
