Hi everyone! I've struggled with symptoms of OCD since I was about 3, but it didn't really 'set in' until I was about 9. Even then, I was not diagnosed until I was 14. My main type is religious OCD, but others like to sprinkle themselves in. My medication helps a lot, though.
I am currently healing after a breakup BUT it helped me focus on other important things in life. I have goals to reach and steps to take, one of which is to become an advocate for OCD awareness!

Welcome Dannah. I am 47 now but I remember having religious OCD when I was 17. I had images of Virgin Maria in erotic scenes... Hum, hum, embarassing. Do not be worried, this did not prevent me to go to university and so on... I am glad you could find diagnosis ans right medication. That I only got when I was 29. Best wishes !
