Whenever a doctor proposes a new medication, I look online at the prevalence of certain side effects. Sorry, I'm not familiar with that one.

I am on risperidone; I take it as an antipsychotic. Different people can take the same meds for the same problem, but they may work for someone else and not the other. I would research it online, as aparente001 suggested, and if you think the med might be helpful, you can ask your Dr (if you have one), what they think.
