I don't know too much about this maybe someone who does can help me. Is it normal for someone with harm ocd to be worried about someone else harming them? Poisoning or hurting etc. Is that a common theme?

I can only say my personal observations on this and other ocd boards but it certainly has been posted before. Either people are scared that their food is contaminated (not quite your fear I know) or that yes someone is trying to harm them or they fear that someone is conspiring to do something to them. OCD can, as I guess you may know, can form almost any type of obsession or latch on to any type of intrusive thoughts.

It doesn't play fair does it. Not only does it give you weird insteusive thoughts but also makes you wonder if you're sane
