Including extreme beliefs that are incompatible with each other (being very religious but believing certain religious rituals are immoral) obsessions and thoughts about race, and racisim, sexuality and morality, and how to reconcile secular values with religious values?

How do you all cope? Every second feels like a sa struggle and every day feels like an existential crisis

I suffer from moral OCD.

It is another form of OCD.

I am trying to label the thought as OCD.

Try not to interact with the thought.

Do not argue with it.

The thought will lose importance, and slowly fade away.

There will be anxiety, but it will get lower.

I hope this helps.

Hi, Lamera. I suffer from the exact same OCD you're going through and I understand how difficult things may get. The thoughts never really go away and sometimes, they even make you feel worse because they are loud, constant and feel so real. But they're not.

They're not real. They're not how you feel. That's how OCD is, it makes you think of things that frighten you and makes you feel like it's true but they're really not. I know that this is easier said than done but what I recommended is for you to just let it flow. No matter how real or how heavy it feels, just let the thoughts/emotions flow. I know that they never truly go away but in my opinion, the less you pay attention and interact with them, the better it is for you to make progress. You could even try to take note of the thoughts you have but instead of giving it power, just label it as an OCD thought and nothing more. This is what my therapist has taught me to do as well. Nevertheless, if you're able, please do see a therapist to get help which could be catered to your needs.

Sending you lots of support, :).

That is part of my OCD, all I can say is that it is not you. It is this monster in your head, trying to trick you into giving it power.
