Thank you for the article; I was particularly interested in the research on the basal ganglia or more primitive area of the brain, which gets stimulated in the presence of fear. Good research, for sure.

Interesting article. One thing worth mentioning is that there are environmental risk factors (like trauma), so a psychosocial approach shouldn't be ruled out completely.

This article is great. I think in eastern medicine they call it Monkey Mind. I have heard many theories on OCD. I definitely feel it is repression based and exasperated by stomach conditions. 90 percent of your seratonin is made in the stomach. If you cannot make choices then you cannot direct your dreams. The repressed dreams then haunt us.
