Two parts in dealing with obsessions

I just wanted to share how there are two parts in dealing with obsessions.

When the doubting thoughts arise, they happen with high levels of anxiety and panic.

During this time, I have experienced that sitting with the anxiety, with the feared consequences, focusing on it in a room, is the first part.

As the day goes on the doubting thought keeps appearing, but not with high anxiety.

The anxiety is slowly going down.

Now comes the second part to the process.

We can view the doubting thought which keeps popping up, as an OCD thought.

It does not require any response.

Just let it appear in the background.

Hopefully, it will lose importance and fade away with time.

We can just keep trying different ways and find out what works for us.

Hope this helps.
