Tips For Coping With OCD During the Holidays! #WellnessWednesday
1. Keep pace with your treatment even during the holiday season. Do not let holiday fun, or even stress, get in the way of your OCD treatment.
2. Holidays are filled with opportunities to FACE YOUR FEAR/Anxiety. Talk to that family member you haven’t spoken to in a while, help with the messy cooking, shower once because aunt Kathy and her kids also need the bathroom.
3. Try to limit approval and reassurance seeking. Remember there’s no need to start confessing and give in to the OCD
4. Watch your alcohol intake, especially if you’re on OCD medication.
5. ENJOY THE HOLIDAYS! Remember that it’s time with family that matters the most. Do not let OCD take that time away from you.
