I've posted on here before but, I was just wondering if anyone with OCD has thoughts that they cant control? I'm not talking about intrusive thoughts. They are more like sentences that come like a runaway train. A lot of the time its profanity. Btw I have scruples ocd.

I have thoughts with OCD that I cant control.

It can be random thoughts which come out of nowhere.

OCD shifts from different themes in the type of thoughts.

Morality is of importance to me, so I get thought around that theme also.

It is just bizarre thoughts, which do not make any sense.

Thank you for responding. It's so frustrating and sometimes I just want to scream STOP! Of course in public I cant do that.

I feel the same way wishing that these obsessive thoughts stop.

But the more we say STOP, the opposite occurs.

The thoughts get stronger, and keep appearing more.

Instead, we should try to just accept those thoughts.

Thus, the thoughts will lose power, and fade away on their own.

I know it is not easy, and this is my constant daily struggle with OCD.
