You don't have to go through this alone. I don't think you can make the thoughts stop completely but with the right tools and experience you can manage how you react to them. I hope you find the support you need.

hello,

I’m sorry that you feel that way. Just know that there are so many people going through this as well and you always have support on here. Many people feel the exact same way, but remembering that there are others out there really helps me remember I’m not alone and it is okay. Also, try to realize that trying to figure out how to make it go away only makes ocd stronger. Instead, my therapist tells me to not try to figure it out, but just let it be. And to thank off for reminding me that it is still hanging around. I hope this helps. It takes practice. But eventually you will find peace and relaxation.

I can understand. It’s hard when others around don’t understand exactly what’s going on. I’ve found talking to my therapist has been helpful when trying to navigate letting others around me know what’s going on and how to best help/understand.

I’m sorry you’re struggling. You can’t make the thoughts go away, once you learn to live with them they will subside. Can you get help from a psychiatrist and an OCD therapist? They can really help you. This website has a lot of valuable information as to where to find help. Keep us posted.

I unfortunately can not do that since i live with people that don't understand things like that... i had a psychiatrist but then i moved and the people i live with don't believe i need to see one so its really challenging dealing with this alone

Okay. You really need to try and see a therapist. Maybe your local doctor can recommend one that specialises in Ocd.

I really wish i could believe me I'm really considering just going no matter what anyone says... bc no one here really understands they also think i don't need to see one..

You do. Just do it. You need to look after yourself and put yourself first.

I’m so sorry you feel helpless. Can you speak to your doctor? OCD is exhausting, but you’re not alone. There are so many of us with OCD. I know we’re all different but we understand how frustrating and isolating it can feel. Please know life can be good.
