Sit with the anxiety

I am having a rough week.

Few days ago, I gave into reassurance seeking, by listening to OCD.

I thought it had made my checking obsessions go away.

But, since the next few days, OCD is focusing about the details in that conversation, and causing new doubting obsessions.

Many years ago, I was in the Intensive Outpatient Program at Anxiety Treatment Center of Sacramento.

The therapists had taught me to sit in a room, and go over the feared consequences of an obsession.

Since any obsession of doubting, has a core fear surrounding it.

This will build up the anxiety to a certain level, and it cannot go further than that level.

I had felt that this process had worked on me.

Thus, I am trying to work on it.
