I feel like my OCD is getting out of control and I really need to talk to my therapist about it. I avoid bringing it up in therapy because talking about makes me feel very anxious and embarrassed.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to approach the topic of OCD with my therapist?
I know how you feel. I get nervous talking to my therapist about it because i feel she won't understand or she'll think something is wrong with me. Try to bring it up to your therapist. Does your therapist specialize in ocd? If they do, that will help. Also what do your OCD thoughts revolve around? My OCD is getting out of control as well, so if you want someone to talk with, I'm here. Sending love ❤
Therapy is to help you figure things out. If OCD is causing problems then it is certainly worth bringing up. If your therapist isn't trained to treat OCD by using ERP (or a similar approach) then it may be time to switch therapists.
Think about what you want out of life. Is your therapist helping you get there and dealing with the things that are causing problems? Whatever your life goals are, they are worth pursuing despite any anxiety or embarrassment. Think of what is best for you and know that you are worth advocating for your own interests.
