Hi everyone - I know my mum valued the updates people would add to this site although couldnt reply in recent weeks. However I’m sad to report that Border Betty aka Penny passed away on January 31st. Thank you for offering invaluable advice and support ... keep strong, positive and despite the difficulties a sense of humour is key!

I am so sorry for your loss. I know Penny was so pleased to move close to you and your sister in Winchester. I remember well one of the last things she wrote some months ago was a reply to me saying “must go and watch the footie”.

I’m sure you have so many happy memories; hang on to those and thank you so much for letting us know.
