Feeling very weak after meals

Hi all, my husband (64) has MSA, diagnosed last year in July. We have had 3 incidents recently where we went out for a bite to eat - just a light lunch - and he became very weak / lightheaded about 30 minutes later. He had to sit with his head on the restaurant table for half an hour on one occasion before he felt able to even try to stand up . He was very pale and weak for hours after each of the three incidents. Can anyone throw any light onto why this happens? It looks like we will have to rush him out to the car within 30 minutes of eating in future before he starts to pass out. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Fíona

Hello Fiona

Whilst you should seek advice from your doctor or one of the MSA Trust Specialist Nurses, this sounds like low blood pressure brought on through eating.

There’s a useful factsheet on the MSA Trust web site that talks about this msatrust.org.uk/wp-content/...

I hope this helps,

Take care, Ian
