I’m so sad to say my darling husband Jon passed away last night just 54, 4 yrs after diagnosis.
He put up such a fight, determined not to leave me but in the end it was unexpected, quick and he wasn’t aware.
Forever grateful for finding the MSA trust, the wonderful nursing teams and just reading everyone’s personal journeys.

My thoughts are with you at such a difficult time. Suddenly after so many months of caring and worrying, a vast void appears in front of you. I know only too well how daunting it feels to be on your own but take care and take time for yourself.

Sending support and sympathy. What a shock for your beloved Jon to leave you quickly and so young. Sometimes with a long declining illness like MSA we forget that the end can come unexpectedly.
Jon was clearly surrounded by your love right up until his body could no longer fight this horrible disease. You gave him a very special gift and now it’s time to gradually begin to nurture yourself.
We will all be thinking of you and, if you feel able to, do stay on the forum as your experience will be so valuable to others.
