Critical illness payout

I would just like to thank the members who encouraged me to claim on my critical illness policy. Legal and General have paid out without argument. I have PV, only meds for itch, otherwise treated, so far, by venesection only - although platelet numbers are starting to mess around a bit! Many thanks, best wishes Aime x

That's encouraging news, I've got a claim in with L&G at the moment. I too was prompted to give it a go after reading the advice on here. Its not a big policy but it should relieve a bit of the stress of trying to work full time. X

I have MF and the only condition I had to have for my claim was that I was on the bone marrow transplant list. They paid out within weeks of my claim after receiving proof from my Consultant. Good luck with your claim.

I'm pleased to say that L & G are paying out on my claim too. They've been really good, helpful the whole way through and no quibbles about paying the claim. Longest bit was my gram getting his report back to them.

Hi Everyone

Just want to jump on and thank all who responded to my critical illness questions too. I too was with Legal and General and I have also just recieved my payment, no problems either. I only work two days a week now so it really has been a massive help.
